Ever since I moved on Monday, it has been cold, icy, snowy, and more or less depressing.
Is it spring yet?
I set out to find lots of bright, cheerful colors but ended up with lots of blue without thinking about it. Wrap dresses are a great wardrobe edition. If you get the right one, you can get it to flatter whatever you want to. They also transition into whatever sort of outfit you may need with just accessories. Also of note is the scalloped striped sweater. They truly take this sweater from being just a general nice sweater into something really special.
However, my favorite pieces today are an outfit idea I found at JC Penney. I first noticed the great color blocked sweater. If you're like me and have a lot of blue and grays in your closet this cardigan would be a fantastic addition. I also like citron because it's bright without venturing into neon highlighter territory (Ms. Lyons, neon is over. Please stop). And yes, I said it. Neon is over. It's too overdone at this point and feels dated. Anyways, citron brings the warmth and cheer I crave and pairs wonderfully with a lot of the pastels that start to come out for spring. I've been seeing lots of light blue this year, which is reflected in the button up shirt. When I first saw the shirt, I thought it had birds on it, but when I zoomed in and saw they were actually swimmers it was love at first sight. Totally whimsical and totally a Lilly-a-Like. It's a super fun outfit that will work well even through summer (how cute would this be by the lake on a chilly summer night?).
