Now here's some seersucker for work:
handbag | coral necklace | white watch | slingback kitten heels
two-button blazer | slim cut pants | pencil skirt | shirt dress | piped blazer
two-button blazer | slim cut pants | pencil skirt | shirt dress | piped blazer
The entire bottom row is from Jones New York. JNY has really been stepping up their game over the past two years, moving from cabbage rose prints and muu-muus to nicely fitted suit separates. I've tried on the two-button blazer and the skirt and couldn't find a single fault. Both were made very well, fit well, and look like they'd last years with proper care. If you're looking at the JNY website, it does list the seersucker separates as being black, but having seen it in person I'd describe as more of a gray (the shirt dress is tan seersucker and the piped blazer is blue seersucker).
Despite its look, seersucker is appropriate for even conservative offices. Here, I kept the accessories fairly conservative yet solid picks for the season. The simply amazing blue Ralph Lauren bag is canvas, and it plays off a simple yet fun Lacoste watch, navy kitten heel slingbacks, and a coral pendant. This outfit says "summer," yet it still says "while I'd like to be on a boat, I understand I am at work and have to dress the part." If you work in a more casual office, you can easily switch out the kitten heel for a fun red flat sandal or maybe even a espadrille wedge.
These seersucker work seperates are a great buy. Timeless and easily styled, you'll be reaching for these as soon as the temperature rises each year.
